Engineering Manager

Function:

1) Main functions:

• Work with teams of different functions for the analysis of problems and be responsible for the design or modification of a wide variety of business processes spanning multiple industries. In addition, synchronize and coordinate its own efforts with those of other members of the team.
• Make timely interventions on the part of the process, building, roads, … to improve the effectiveness, costs, quality, organization, …
• Conduct all its shares in the attention to maintaining and improving safety, energy savings and continuous improvement.
• Write some technical reports
• Follow performance indicators
• Maintain technical documentation of the plant (document EC, plans, acceptance report ….).
• To manages a team to Develop, Improve gold Implement a solution

2) Project management :

Analyse of customer requests

• Answering the start in production of a new industrial product, the implementation of new tools (PLCs, production line, industrial equipment …) or improving industrial practices and processes (using the definition of needs, mapping processes, flow optimization, etc.).
• Carry out or commission studies to verify the technical and economic feasibility of the project.
• Prepare and disseminate a specification with internal customers and suppliers to ensure the feasibility and technical quality of proposed solutions.
• Evaluate and optimize the time and resources needed for the implementation of the various stages of the project to create a comprehensive implementation plan.
• Participate in the development of investment budgets and negotiate the necessary resources based on project progress.
• Provide the risks that may occur during implementation.
• Prepare the upstream encryption elements and/or billing.

Organisation et planning

• Structuring the project (methods, steering tools …) and establish the operating rules for carrying out the work in the best time conditions, safety, quality and cost.
• Ensure coordination between the actors involved in the project (in the business: production, maintenance, quality, different departments and outside: suppliers and subcontractors).
• Organize and facilitate meetings with project stakeholders to make choices and allocation of resources, according to the different constraints (technical, economic and legal).
• Set with project collaborators objectives and completion dates of the various tasks (task scheduling, estimated timeframe).

Steering, coordination and monitoring

• Supervise and coordinate the work of all internal actors and/or external (including subcontractors).
• Meet the different actors involved in the project, visit the sites, meet suppliers, institutional partners …
• Monitor and ensure the good running of the project, implementation schedule and be on budget.
• Provide the necessary assistance to maintain and improvement of production facilities in terms of productivity and quality.
• Search permanently possible improvements of equipment in its area to optimize the operation of facilities (new and existing) and proceed to their application.
• Facilitate regular points with all partners: progress of the program, followed by the sharing of knowledge, validation results …

Control and finalization of the industrial project

• Analyze the results and adjust the differences (between forecast and implementation) that can exist by conducting corrective actions.
• Evaluate the positive and negative aspects of the project (the collective work on holding the budget or additional cost, on time overruns, quality partners).
• Make an analysis of “best practices” of the project and proposals for the improvement of future projects (procedures, calendar, staff, partners …).
• Provide final reporting of working with industrial management, and/or general management.
• Perform technical files for other services (quality, purchasing, methods, maintenance) to finalize the project: references of raw materials, process parameters, life of the product.

Profile:

• Engineering experience at least 10 years
• Knowledge in the following areas: electricity, mechanics, automation, control
• Good computer skills / Office
• Project Management Experience
• Experience in managing teams
• Languages (French, Dutch, English)
